Since many prints take 8-24 hours or longer, I want to make neat rendered previews of these paths to show clients and friends what a print will look like ahead of time. If you end up making this, please PLEASE send me a message letting me know, I would love to help test this. When I load a mesh into a 3D printer slicing program, I get a little wire preview of the tool paths the machine will take. a way to clean up models and make them manifold, there are other addons for this but having a bunch of settings and features specifically for cad and 3d printing would be a welcome addition if you could set it into cad mode or 3d printing mode. a better way to export to stl, I've found that blender doesn't export files into the correct size at all, a 100mm item ends up being something like 1/1000th its in blender size anywhere else, this may not be something that is fixable, but to fix it you have to multiply all dimensions by 1000 and its annoying if not everything "works" that way.

Or rather, to be able to go back and change a decision I made easily, sort of like the modifier panel, but for the things I listed before. The ability to modify pre-existing dimensions on models, "effects"(chamfur, bevel, extrude, etc). I would absolutely love an addon like that for blender, I've been using it for around four and a half years now and I know the software very well That being said.I could use a few things to help with my designs for 3d printing: Non-reddit communities are listed in our getting started guide We welcome community contributions to this wiki!
